The Abuja Electricity Distribution
Company says it has started the implementation of some strategic plans aimed at
boosting power supply to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and some of its
neighbouring states.
This came in a statement issued in
Lokoja recently at the end of a meeting by members of its Task Team. The
statement, which was signed by the chairman of the team Alhaji Garba Madani,
said that the objective was to get stable power supply to consumers in its area
of coverage within the next few months.
The company warned that it will no
longer condone acts of illegality such as unauthorised connection and
extensions, tampering with metres and bye-passes.
It further stated that the management
of the company would continue to address the issue of high bills to the
satisfaction of consumers, adding that it was committed to efficient service
delivery.
