TUC, Property Developer to Build 20,000 Houses in Abuja

The Trade Union Congress (TUC), in partnership with Rock of Ages Properties Limited, a subsidiary of Chicason Group, will tomorrow begin the construction of 20,000 housing units in Abuja, under the United Workers Housing Scheme.
 
The Executive Director of Chicason Group, Mr Chux Adike, speaking in Abuja recently explained that the two sites selected for the scheme in Abuja are located in Deidei and along Airport Road, Lugbe.
 
Mr. Adike added that the scheme is targeted at building 100,000 units of affordable housing in all the 36 states of the federation, beginning with Abuja.
 
The flag off ceremony, which will hold at the Women Development Centre, is expected to be attended by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Sen. Bala Mohammed and the Minister of Labour counterpart, Chief Emeka Nwogu.
