Many people in Abuja came out
to register for membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
yesterday, as the political party began its nationwide recruitment
drive.
There were long queues outside
the various registration stations across the capital, with an official
at the Bissau Street in Wuse, Zone 6 centre confirming that over 120
people had signed up to join the opposition party and more were on their
way.
It
was a similar story at centers at Wuse Zone 4, Mabushi Primary school
and Adetokumbo Ademola Crescent, with people waiting outside for their
turn to register.
The registration will last for six days, from February 5 – 10 in 120,000 centres across Nigeria.
