FCTA Employs 200 Health Workers

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has appointed 200 health workers in hospitals across the FCT.
 
The Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretariat of the FCTA, Dr. Ademola Onakomaiya, made the revelation yesterday in Abuja while inaugurating the Emergency Paediatric Unit (EPU) at Asokoro District Hospital.
 
He said the minister of the FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed, approved the appointment of the workers in order to ensure quick and efficient healthcare delivery in the territory.
 
On the new EPU facility, he stated that it was equipped to provide comprehensive paediatric medical and surgical care to all acutely ill and injured children.
 
He further stated that the minister was committed to providing solid health foundation to children. “To this end,” he said “the minister has recruited professional health workers to manage the Unit and ensure quality health delivery.”
