Police Arrest 51 Suspects, Recover 42 Stolen Cars

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command said it arrested 51 suspected armed robbers and recovered 42 stolen vehicles between September and October 2013.

 
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Hyelhira Altine Daniel, told newsmen in Abuja recently while confirming the recovery of a stolen Honda vehicle and the confiscation of bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp by the officers of the Zuba police division.
 
She explained that the command recovered 17 vehicles and 15 armed robbers were arrested in September while in October 13 vehicles were recovered and 21 armed robbers arrested. She added that in November 12 vehicles were recovered with 15 armed robbers arrested. 
 
The PPRO advised residents to always alert the police on any suspicions of activities in order help the police curb crimes in the territory, especially during the festive season.
