Hajj: Board Secures Accommodation in Makkah

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has secured accommodation for intending pilgrims for the 2014 hajj exercise.

The Director of the Board, Hajiya Fatima Sulaiman Gummi, made the disclosure recently while briefing senior management team of the Board. She said four standard houses have been procured at locations close to the Grand Mosque in Makkah to accommodate the pilgrims.
This, she said, was in line with the directives of the FCT Minister of State, Oloye Olajumoke Akinjide, to provide first class services to FCT pilgrims during the Hajj exercise.
Hajiya Gummi further disclosed that three of the houses were along Umul Qurah road near bin Ladin Mosque in Makkah and one was at Jarwal area to accommodate the entire FCT contingents. She added that all the houses are located less than ten minutes’ walk to the Grand Mosque.
She said that the Board would hold the first phase of its enlightenment and orientation courses for the intending pilgrims on June 14.
